Movie News Mash 2!

Another mash-up of movie news that would be too small on their own! A sequel for sequels! What do I mean by that? Read and find out!

"Hancock 2"

JoBlo got to talk with actor Will Smith while he was promoting his new film "Seven Pounds."

"When we asked Will if he'd ever be up for playing another superhero he replied that there were a lot of unexplored characters in the 'Hancock' universe that would be ripe for a sequel and confirmed that we'll definitely see the rumored 'Hancock 2' in a few years."

Are you ready for "Hancock 2?" I still think the first film was seriously flawed, so if they can fix things up I am all for it!

"Sin City 2"

IGN caught up with Frank Miller during a press junket for his upcoming "The Spirit" and they couldn't help but ask about the follow-up to the great comic-to-film adaptation "Sin City."

"Sin City 2 is written," Miller proclaimed. "It's mainly a matter of working out the details of the production. I'm hoping to do it with Robert Rodriguez again in the same circumstances that we did the first one, and we could be shooting as soon as April."

Does this mean that we could be seeing "Sin City 2" by the end of next year or the beginning of 2010? I sure hope so!

"Superman: Man of Steel"

UGO Movie Blog got to talk to director Bryan Singer on the phone to talk about Superman. After directing "Superman Returns," it was thought by many that Singer would return for "Man of Steel," but Singer says otherwise.

The phone conversation went like this.

JH: But there is talk of a new film, though. Are you officially involved in this talk of the new film?

BS: I am not officially involved in the talk, no.

JH: But when talk happens they’ll call you.

BS: Well it’s, you know, I have relationships with Warner Brothers and with the character and, and, and, and it’s just the way things work out.

JH: But you are not divorced from Superman at this point.

BS: No.

So there it is folks! Do you plan on seeing any of these movies? Are you excited for these sequels? I know I am (well....maybe not for the "Hancock" sequel...but there is potential).
