Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Cameron Diaz is in talks to team-up with Seth Rogen in "The Green Hornet."No, she’s not playing Kato (with luck, Stephen Chow’s still in that role), but according to the article, she’ll be playing the female lead.
As to what that entails? Sony isn’t saying yet, though she could be a version of Leonore Case, publisher and Hornet alter ego Britt Reid’s secretary.
But wouldn’t it be more fun if Diaz were being asked to play a villain? It would be somehow more fun to see her try and play a bad guy than a heroine like in "Charlie's Angels."
Michel Gondry is set to direct the film based on a script by Rogen and his writing partner Evan Goldberg. Shooting is supposed to begin shortly, with a release date already set for July 9, 2010.
