Universal has just debuted the trailer for Michael Mann's ("Heat") highly anticipated "Public Enemies." It tells the story of legendary Depression-era outlaw John Dillinger (Johnny Depp) — the charismatic bank robber whose lightning raids made him the number one target of J. Edgar Hoover’s (Billy Crudup) fledgling FBI and its top agent, Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale), and a folk hero to much of the downtrodden public.
The film has an all star cast made up of Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, Channing Tatum, Giovanni Ribisi, David Wenham, Leelee Sobieski, Marion Cotillard, and Billy Crudup.
Universal is bringing "Public Enemies" to theaters everywhere on July 1 this summer.
