Box Office Results and Weekly Movie News

Movies coming out this weekend!

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - Decepticon forces return to Earth on a mission to take Sam Witwicky prisoner, after the young hero learns the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers. Joining the mission to protect humankind is Optimus Prime, who forms an alliance with international armies for a second epic battle.

My Sister's Keeper
- Anna Fitzgerald (Breslin) looks to earn medical emancipation from her parents (Diaz and Patric) who until now have relied on their youngest child to help their leukemia-stricken daughter Kate (Vassilieva) remain alive.

"The Proposal" is the biggest opening ever for Sandra Bullock. I was surprised too. I really like "Speed," but I guess she does better in date movies.

"The Hangover" has made $164 million on a budget of $35 million. 'Nuff said.

Other films are still making money (except for "Land of the Lost") and "Year One" had a decent opening, but not enough to guarantee a profit.

Next week, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." It has been receiving lots of bad reviews. Can it live up to the hype?
