2009 Academy Award Afterthoughts

The Oscars are over and the results are in. Check that out in my post below.
Now that things have settled I have had the chance to think over the results last night and I realized that due to the enormous amount of wins by "Slumdog Millionaire," not many films actually won awards.

The amount of wins for each film include:
1. Slumdog Millionaire won 8 Oscars
2. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button won 3 Oscars
3. The Dark Knight won 2 Oscars
4. Milk won 2 Oscars
5. Vicky Cristina Barcelona won 1 Oscar
6. Man on Wire won 1 Oscar
7. The Duchess won 1 Oscar
8. WALL-E won 1 Oscar
9. The Reader won 1 Oscar
10. Departures won 1 Oscar

See what I mean by "Slumdog Millionaire?"

And if you didn't stay until the end, then you missed the 2009 movie preview montage. It showed 24 movies in about three minutes, including "Sherlock Holmes" and "Terminator Salvation."

And just in case you missed the "Pineapple Express" comedy segment featuring James Franco and Seth Rogen. In case you didn't know, it was written and directed by Judd Apatow and also featured the real Oscar winning cinematographer Janusz Kaminski.

Watch these two stoners laugh at intense scenes from "Doubt" and "The Reader" while watching comedies and confusing different movies and actors. And that scene from "Milk" is actually James Franco kissing Sean Penn, so that explains the awkwardness and laughter.

Hope every one enjoyed the Oscars!
