While this news would be awesome to hear in reference to George Miller's "Mad Max 4: Fury Road," I guess I'll be content with the announcement from Movieline that Brad Pitt and Matt Damon have recently joined the voice cast for another Miller film, "Happy Feet 2," the 3-D sequel to the 2006 Academy Award winning animated film.
The two join returning cast members Elijah Wood and Robin Williams who starred in the first film about a tap-dancing penguin named Mumble living in a society of talented singing penguins. The original film also featured Hugh Jackman and the late Brittany Murphy, but no word on Jackman's return or if Murphy's character will be written out or simply re-cast.
Having at least enjoyed the first "Happy Feet" (but not immensely), a sequel could be fun. But with no plot details, we'll just have to wait for some new info to leak through the cracks.
"Happy Feet 2" is set for release on November 28, 2011.
