Gamer

It has been titled Game, Citizen Game and Lionsgate has finally decided on "Gamer" for their new film starring Gerard Butler, Michael C. Hall, Amber Valletta, Alison Lohman, Zoe Bell, Kyra Sedgwick, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges and Milo Ventimiglia. "Gamer" is directed by "Crank" franchise writer/directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor and has already earned an R from the MPAA for frenetic sequences of strong brutal violence throughout, sexual content, nudity and language.

The film is set in the not-too-distant future in which Butler plays Kabel. Every week, millions worldwide tune in online to watch him and hundreds of other convicts battle in Slayers, an ultra-violent multi-player online game invented by technological genius Ken Castle (Michael C. Hall). Want the rest of the story? Check out the brand new trailer directly below.

"Gamer" hits theaters Sept. 4, 2009.
