'Avatar' Featured on 60 Minutes

James Cameron's "Avatar" is less than a month away and the marketing machine behind the epic film is moving along nicely.

Yesterday, 60 Minutes aired an approximately 13-minute segment about all things "Avatar," taking viewers behind-the-scenes of the set and into Cameron's own office and mind regarding his work on the project.

If you’ve been keeping up with "Avatar" since day one, then the most this segment is going to offer you is a couple of new shots to look at. Everything else is pretty much a rehash of the film ’s well-documented history – how Cameron has been dreaming it up for a over a decade, the new technology he used to film it, the storyline of the film, who James Cameron IS – with Cameron himself explaining it all real slow and easy so anyone can understand clearly.

You can check out the embedded video below for the segment. As much as I may raise an eyebrow at the story of "Avatar," 60 Minutes gives an interesting look at all of the tech it took to make the film possible.
