DreamWorks Animation has debuted the first teaser trailer for "Shrek Forever After," the fourth installment in the "Shrek" franchise. The premise is clearly stated in the film, but it essentially is a knock-off of "It's a Wonderful Life."
Longing for the days when he felt like a “real ogre,” Shrek is duped into signing a pact with the smooth-talking deal-maker, Rumpelstiltskin and finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona have never met. Now, it’s up to Shrek to undo all he’s done in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one True Love.
The huge voice cast includes Cameron Diaz, Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderas, Julie Andrews, Amy Poehler, John Lithgow, Maya Rudolph, Amy Sedaris, Eric Idle, Larry King, and Regis Philbin.
What did you think of the teaser? And what do you think about them marketing this film as "the last chapter"?
"Shrek Forever After" will hit theaters on May 21, 2010.
