Did You Hear About the Morgans? - In New York City, an estranged couple (Grant and Parker) who witness a murder are relocated to small-town Wyoming as part of a witness-protection program.
Avatar - A paraplegic former marine (Worthington) accepts a unique mission that sends him to the planet Pandora, where, through a connection to a remotely controlled biological body, he learns the way of the indigenous Na'vi people. His link to this world puts him in direct opposition with his orders to infiltrate the Na'vi and remove the barrier between them and the precious ore desired by military and corporate interests.

Disney right now has three films in the Top Ten ("Princess and Frog," "A Christmas Carol" and "Old Dogs) and is doing well. But I'm sure the studio was hoping for a larger opening release for "The Princess and the Frog." And with "Avatar" coming out next week...can the Disney cartoon save 2-D films or not?
"The Blind Side" continues to be an unexpected box office juggernaut. "New Moon" also continues as it is an expected box office juggernaut. The question is do we prefer the expected ones or the surprise hits?
Drama and action fills out the rest of the slots. The big question is how big will "Avatar" be next weekend? Can it stand up against these other films and its $200 million budget? We'll have to wait and see.
