Ever since The Dark Knight struck gold over the summer, fans have been dying to hear the latest news about the next Batman film.
Who will be the next villain? Will Chris Nolan return to write and direct the film?
The power of the internet may have answered one of those questions.
According to a post on Slashfilm.com Monday, "in a story that started floating around the internet this weekend — originating in a recent issue of “Production Weekly” — Christopher Nolan is listed as the director of the next installment of the “Batman” franchise, and as previously reported, the rumored pre-production date of February 2009 is also noted"
Is this news true or just another rumor (I will try to stay away from most rumors in this blog, but this just seemed interesting)?
More to come! Catch ya' later!
Edit: David Goyer, who helped write The Dark Knight (along with Chris and Jonathon Nolan), said that none of the rumors swirling around Batman 3 are true. Nolan has not yet signed on to helm the third Batman installment (the last in a proposed trilogy), pre-production won’t start early in 2009 and no actor(s) have been cast to play Bat’s latest adversary.
