Captain America has a script

The film The First Avenger: Captain America now has a script, but is still in need for a director and leading actor.

The script synopsis follows "a Depression Era boy named Steve Rogers enlisting in the Army, only to discover that his physical ailments make him ineligible to battle the Nazis. An officer gives Rogers the opportunity to participate in 'Operation: Rebirth,' which involves doses of the 'Super-Soldier Serum' and 'Vita-Rays.' Rogers emerges from the program with 'a body as perfect as a body can be and still be human.'"

“Armed with his indestructible shield and and battle savvy, Captain America has continued his war against evil both as a sentinel of liberty and leader of the Avengers,” according to the posted synopsis by FilmSchoolRejects.

So the film will take place during WWII and is slated for release May 6, 2011. Whoever ends up playing Captain America will most likely be in the upcoming Avengers movie which has a release date of July 2011.
I wonder if the Red Skull will be the villain in the film.
