Star Trek Has Premiered

An audience arrived at the Alamo Drafthouse theater in Austin, Texas, expecting to watch "Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan," the second in a series of "Star Trek" films that came out in 1982.

In addition of seeing this movie, they were going to get to see 10 minutes of never before scene footage from the new "Star Trek" movie that comes out May 8 in the USA (but had its premiere in Australia).

There was an introduction by writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (who also wrote "Transformers," along with producer Damon Lindelof. Afterwards the second "Star Trek" film in the series began.

However a few minutes in, something apparently went wrong, the film broke and melted and the audience was left sitting there.
The writers and producer of the new film came out again to ignore the technical difficulties and get to the footage of their new film.

Then a man wearing a trenchcoat and a hat walked to the front of the room.

That is right. Everyone in that audience got to see the entire "Star Trek" film and also see Leonard Nimoy! That is awesome!

After the film was done, Nimoy and the others came out to say goodnight.

And the online reviews have been spreading like lice through a kindergarten class (great imagery there).

There are just so many of them out there that putting them all here would take up so much space. If you want to check out some reviews of the new "Star Trek" film (all spoiler free, of course), then click on any of these links.

It is pretty cool.
For those people in the audience, that would be like going to see "Braveheart" in theaters and Mel Gibson coming out to tell everyone that they will be showing "Braveheart 2"
(I know that is completely ridiculous, but c'mon!)
