"Solomon Kane," the live-action film based on the evil-vanquishing adventures of Robert E. Howard's pulp-era hero, has received a fair share of buzz lately due to a well-received screening of footage during Comic-Con in San Diego.
Thanks to a recent comic book series authored by Dark Horse Comics editor Scott Allie and a run of comics published by Marvel in the 1970s and '80s, the puritanical swordsman has a long history in the comics world—and if all goes as planned, it could have a long life on the big screen, too.
Starring James Purefoy and is written/directed by Michael J. Bassett, "Solomon Kane" premieres today at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Check out an exclusive featurette from the film below:
We can only hope this feels does well at the TIFF and picks up a distributor so we can see it in theaters sometime next year.

I think this is my most anticipated movie-I really can't wait to see it
It really cracks me up gow you are really into this.
But you love fantasy films with BA heroes who fight off tons of baddies, so I realize now this is a perfect film for you.
I will try to keep a look out for when it gets a release date.
