"Kick-Ass" kicked off production with writing, design and ready-made storyboards from two of the biggest names in comics when Matthew Vaughn stepped up to direct the adaptation of Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.'s miniseries. But the duo's involvement didn't stop with the comic book, though.Romita has revealed that he contributed artwork for an animated sequence in the film and that material will explain about Nicolas Cage's character, Big Daddy.
"The animated sequence is about a minute, minute and a half, and it's a very wild computer program that allows us to do this," Romita told MTV News. "I don't need to do as many drawings as you think, but they're able to do the animation with models that I've drawn."
According to Romita, the scene tells Big Daddy's origin story and provides an illustrated history of his violent vigilante justice.
"There's a comic book that Nicolas Cage's character has drawn as a shrine to his victims," the artist explained. "It's basically an origin of him."
That tale should bear an uncanny resemblance to Millar and Romita's comic when its moment appears.
"[Big Daddy's] partner will come in when Nicolas Cage is carted off to prison," Romita said. "He comes in, opens the book up and it morphs into Nicolas Cage's origin."

Is this like how the Asian chiks origin was shown in Kill Bill?
Exactly! Except the animation sequence probably will not look like an anime (Japanese cartoon). Instead it will probably look like it came straight from a comic.
