Spidey 4 Script Talk
"Spider-Man" fans are eagerly awaiting news of the upcoming fourth film and sucking up every molecule of information.
What we do know - and have known for some time - is that the movie is set for release on May 6, 2011, and that Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire is working on the script.
Director Sam Raimi now says the screenplay is nearly finished - and one report has led to Spidey fans spinning a web of speculation that the villain in the next installment will be Electro.
Raimi told JoBlo: "I've just started working on the next instalment of the Spiderman series. David Lindsay-Abaire is in New York right now writing the screenplay and I am going to receive a draft of it in about 3 weeks I think."
(The Geek Files)
So only another three weeks until a rough draft of the film will be seen by the director and then filming can hopefully begin sometime next year. More news on who will be cast and who the villains will be (though Electro and the Lizard are right now the most likely) coming soon. Do you think there will be a chance for "Spider-Man 5?"
More news to come! Catch ya' later!
