I'm happy to report that "Red," the adaptation of Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner's spy thriller comic book series, release date has moved up from Nov. 19, 2010.
According to Variety, Summit Entertainment has tagged October 22, 2010, as the new premiere date for the film.
"The Time Traveler's Wife" director Robert Schwentke will helm the film, which he described to MTV News as a "funny" take on the source material.
The film has an all-star cast in Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John C. Reilly and Mary-Louise Parker.
Willis will star as a former CIA agent who sees his quiet retirement days end when an assassin shows up to take his life.
With its new release date, "Red" is scheduled to go up against "Saw VII" and "Prisoners" the same weekend.
Are you looking forward to seeing "Red" about a month earlier now?
More news to come! Catch ya' later!
