"Inglourious Basterds" begins in German-occupied France, where Shosanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz). Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema.
Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) organizes a group of Jewish-American soldiers to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. Known to their enemy as "The Basterds," Raine's squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger) on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquee, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own...
"Inglourious Basterds" is both written and directed by the infamous Quentin Tarantino ("Pulp Fiction," "Kill Bill").
The Weinstein Company and Universal have partnered to bring Tarantino's WWII masterpiece in all of its brilliant glory. After first debuting at the Cannes Film Festival, "Inglourious Basterds" will now hit theaters worldwide on August 21 this year.

i'm looking forward to the newest mumbling alter-ego that Brad Pitt has concocted for this movie
His character does have a weird way of talking in this movie.
But yes, excited to see it as well.
