I was going to do a post on the MTV Movie Awards, but I figured what's the point. It would basically devolve into a bitch-fest about "Twilight".

I know 2008 was a blah sort of year for movies--with exceptions--but Twilight wins Best Movie and Best Fight? Really? I remember in previous years these awards weren't aimed so much at the teeny-bopper crowd and there was more of a variety of nominees. This seems a little more like the Teen Choice Awards or something. Maybe I'm wrong.

Since the winner is decided by texting, I really don't see this as an official awards show. It is just something for the MTV crowd.

It does devolve into what teens like because they are the new MTV crowd and what they like most likely wins (Twilight, Hannah Montana, High School Musical) while films that are considered exceptional and win best picture win nothing (Slumdog Millionaire).

I find it to be an interesting way to view society.
And yeah...I like flash.
