"Ice Age 3" and "Transformers 2" really duked it out for the top spot for the weekend. "Ice Age 3" has made more money in the foreign market than domestically so far and "Transformers 2" has made almost $600 million worldwide now, making it the highest grossing film of the year (though it dropped 61 percent since last weekend).
"Public Enemies" opened well despite its rating and theme while "The Proposal" has cracked through the triple digits now. "The Hangover" has now made a hefty profit in its $265 worldwide earnings.
"Star Trek" has fallen out of the top ten now. It's a shame since it is better then some of the other movies there (but it has been there since May).
Next week I predict "Bruno" to be at the top. "Borat" opened at $26 million in 2006, so can it be topped?
