In this film there will be more use of the Transporter's car than in the other two films. Wonder if Jason Statham got better behind the wheel after doing Death Race.

Captain America cameo in Incredible Hulk

According to FilmSchoolRejects, Captain America is in the Incredible Hulk.
Louis Leterrier, the director of Hulk, said there would be a scene where the audience would be able to see Captain America frozen in ice. No one saw it.
Coming to the Incredible Hulk DVD, there is an alternate opening where Bruce Banner is hiding out in the Antarctic.
And this is where Captain America is.
Can you see him? Check out the DVD when it comes out Oct. 21, 2008.
This will undoubtedly lead to more connections to The Avengers movie.

Edit: Captain America's shield made an appearance in Iron Man. I don't know if it is supposed to be the real shield or if it is just a replica. Look to the left behind Stark. The star should be a dead give-away.

Pirates of the Caribbean 4

Pirates of the Caribbean is a hugely successful franchise which Disney does not want to finish with yet. Cinemablend found some interesting news on the upcoming film.

“There are talks of Captain Jack having a brother in the next movie, possibly to be played by Sacha Baron Cohen or Russel Brand. As we’ve mentioned before, the new movie might kick off a trilogy, which would revolve around Captain Jack’s search for the Fountain of Youth. Geoffrey Rush and director Gore Verbinski are apparently both planning to return, but… and this is a big maybe… Tim Burton might direct instead. Again, this information is all up in the air, and could change at any moment.”
Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is slated for release in 2012.

Superman: Man of Steel

Latino Review got an exclusive talk with Paul Levitz, the President of DC Comics.
When asked about Superman: Man of Steel, Paul had this to say.

“Everyone is waiting for Nolan to sign on for another Batman, once that happens, the release date for Superman and all other future projects will follow.”

And there is more. DC wants Brandon Routh, Superman from Superman Returns, to return as the Son of Krypton.
So it won't be a full reboot if it has the same actor.
DC is waiting for Chris Nolan to sign the deal with the next Batman, and DC wants him to commit to a July 2011 release. If that happens then the following superhero films will be released.

Also in the mix is The Flash.

Green Lantern will come out before Superman, but what if Brandon Routh did a cameo in the Green Lantern film as Clark Kent (as a recent rumor I heard said might happen)? Would DC be trying to copy Marvel in the wake of the Avengers to create, *gasp*, the Justice League?

The Avengers Villain is...

The Marvel films are leading up to the mega team-up of The Avengers, where some of the mightiest Marvel heroes join together to fight evil.
But what villain could stand against fearsome foes such as Iron Man and Captain America and Thor?

The Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier told MTV News this past June that he didn’t think any villain could, and suggested that they use a hero instead: Hulk

“I hope ‘The Avengers’ embraces that,” Mark Fergus, co-writer of Iron Man, said of having the Hulk as a misunderstood baddie. “You don’t want like 10 super-badass good guys fighting together. Where’s the fun in that? Let’s break it off a little. Friends or colleagues who become enemies is always an interesting thing because you know it’s based on love and friendship and that’s always the worst thing to have turn bad — is someone you actually care about and someone you actually believe in.”

Hulk, of course, has fought nearly every Marvel hero at some point in the comics, and because he already had his own movie, wouldn’t need to be set-up in the new one. In fact, all the hard work is already done.

“I left the door open for whoever’s going to direct ‘The Avengers’ with our last shot. Edward [Norton] and I, we consciously decided to make the last shot of the movie when he opens his eyes and he smirks at the camera,” Leterrier told MTV News. “Is he enjoying it? Is he malicious? That’s what’s great about Edward. You don’t know if he’s a good guy or bad guy. He’s always on this edge and we’ve been sort of surfing that edge, that very thin edge during the entire movie.”

Will Hulk end up being the villain for the Avengers to fight? It would certainly make a killer battle.

Green Lantern actor chosen?

Note, this is all rumor.
according to an exclusive by Latino Review, Ryan Gosling is the current top choice for playing the role of Hal Jordan a.k.a. The Green Lantern.

The Geek Files gave a brief history of the Canadian actor.
"Gosling 27, who's had no formal acting training, has been in numerous TV series and was nominated for an Oscar and a Screen Actors Guild Award for his role as Dan Dunne, a drug-addicted history teacher, in Half Nelson in 2006. He was Golden Globe-nominated for his 2007 role in Lars And The Real Girl.

After playing the romantic lead in the 2004 film The Notebook, Gosling was named one of People magazine's 50 Hottest Bachelors."

Marvel keeps its next big movies in Cali'

Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood Daily got the scoop on where Marvel is making its next big movies.
Marvel announced that its next four movie productions as well as its corporate office space are moving to Raleigh Studios Manhattan Beach.

“In making this deal with Raleigh to produce our upcoming films at the Manhattan Beach Studios, we are most excited about keeping our film production here in California and taking advantage of the best crews in the Los Angeles area,” stated Louis D’Esposito, Marvel’s President of Physical Production. “All of our production partners on these upcoming films have been incredibly accommodating in terms of their creativity and financial structures, allowing us to remain in California. Raleigh Studios has long been known for the superior quality of its film production facilities and we know that Manhattan Beach will be the ideal location to produce our movies to the highest standards that our fans expect.”

“We are thrilled that we were able to find a way to make this deal work for Marvel,” said Michael Moore, Raleigh Studios President. “We could not have asked for a greater compliment than having a quality company like Marvel put their faith in us to provide a home for its film productions.”

The Marvel live action releases to be filmed at Raleigh Manhattan Beach Studios are scheduled to arrive in theaters beginning in 2010 and going through 2011. Specifically the release dates are Iron Man 2 on May 7, 2010; Thor on July 16, 2010; The First Avenger: Captain America on May 6, 2011; and The Avengers on July 15, 2011.

Wolverine movie is dark and will kick a**

ComingSoon.net caught up with Lauren Shuler Donner, the producer for the upcoming Wolverine film.

"I guess [Wolverine] is closer to the first X-Men in tone because it's a little darker, but there's a lot of action. It's his origin story. It's really good. I've been in the editing room the last couple of weeks and I think that it's good and that audiences are going to like it. But it's a little darker."

Rumor alert! Lauren Shuler Donner says that she hopes that one of the film's characters, Wade Wilson aka Deadpool, will get his own spin-off. Wilson is played by Ryan Reynolds.

She also noted that the now-obligatory Stan Lee cameo in Marvel films might not happen in “Wolverine,” given that the film was shot in Australia, but adds that they might be able to add him in since some additional shooting will be taking place stateside in January.

The Geek Files made a note about Donner's interview.
"After all that, we aren't much further forward. No clue on running time or rating, no question or response on criticisms of Fox's superhero projects or its film-making in general. No information on whether Wolverine has a costume, nothing on the Cyclops cameo, or on whether Gambit and Emma Frost are intended to then feature in the X-Men First Class movie focusing on the early years of Professor Xavier's school. No answer on whether the First Class movie or Magneto movie are proceeding."
