Who would have thought there would be a movie about Facebook? Well, okay, "The Social Network" isn't exactly about Facebook, but actually the people behind its creation.
The trailer below really is just a teaser with no actual footage, but its does make the story behind Facebook sound interesting. I haven't read the book the film is based on or read anything about the origins of Facebook - so maybe there are some twisted tales to tell.
Based on Ben Mezrich's novel "The Accidental Billionaires" and adapted by Aaron Sorkin, the film focuses on the evolution of Facebook from its 2004 creation on the Harvard campus by sophomore Mark Zuckerberg to a juggernaut with more than 200 million members.
"The Social Network" is directed by Oscar nominated filmmaker David Fincher, of superb films like "Se7en," "Fight Club," "Zodiac" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
It's set to hit theaters on October 1 and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake (not joking), Andrew Garfield, Rashida Jones and Joe Mazzello.
More news to come! Catch ya' later!
