According to Deadline Hollywood and THR's Heat Vision, Alice Eve is in negotiations to star in director Matthew Vaughn's "X-Men: First Class," the currently developing prequel to 20th Century Fox's "X-Men" franchise. Assuming negotiations work out smoothly, Eve will play Emma Frost, also known as the White Queen.
In joining "First Class," Eve becomes the second person to portray Emma Frost on the big screen following Tahnya Tozzi, who appeared as the character in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." She joins an impressive cast list that includes James McAvoy as Professor Xavier, Michael Fassbender as a young Magneto and Benjamin Walker as Hank "Beast" McCoy.
Given that Frost is a character who many a fanboy associate with beauty first and foremost (and being a raging "you-know-what" second), this rumor definitely fits given Eve's most recent screen role in "She's Out of My League" (and the fact that she's a British stage actress, which could play well into Frost's more refined character aspects -- in other words, both girls have got class).
Emma Frost has telepathic powers and, in the early comics, was a villain who took the name White Queen; as a key member of the nefarious Hellfire Club, she was instrumental in corrupting Jean Grey into the Dark Phoenix.
Later, Frost founded her own school for mutants, became a member of the X-Men and developed an additional ability that enabled her to turn her skin into diamond (as seen in a bullet-deflecting action scene at the end of "Wolverine").
The character is also known for her stunning figure and revealing outfits, as you can see in the artwork at the top.
Eve seems to be a pretty good match to play Frost if this deal works out.
