In an interview with Zack Snyder, MTV News got the low down on some "Watchmen" news.
"'When I originally got the script, Adrian died at the end,' Snyder told the crowd at the taping, adding that the task of making sure the live-action 'Watchmen' matched up with the print version was 'the biggest fight for me.'
The filmmaker even offered up some additional explanation for one of the most controversial changes he made to the story.
'The reason why the squid was taken out of the movie was so there’d be more Rorschach, and a little more Manhattan,' said Snyder of his decision to change the ending of 'Watchmen' in the movie.
As for the future of 'Watchmen' after the film’s March 6 release, Snyder announced that the director’s cut of the film will be just over three hours and hit theaters in July. Snyder called the longer cut 'considerably more violent than this … and sexier.'”
Here is a clip of Snyder talking about the sex scene between Silk Spectre II, Malin Akerman, and Nite Owl II, Patrick Wilson.
I find almost everything Snyder has to say about this film to be spectacular. He knows what he is doing with this film. He had David Gibbons, co-creator of the original graphic novel, even come to the set to see if he would approve. Gibbons did.
So this film comes out in a countdown of two weeks. I know where I will be March 6.
Do you?
More news to come! Catch ya' later!
